Joanna Carmella Salvadori Padilla passed away suddenly on November 18, 2016 at the age of 86, within three months of the passing of her husband, Joseph Padilla.

Joanna was born in Sonora, California to Mike and Carmella Salvadori on July 12, 1930. Joanna was known for her excellent memory and intuitive nature. She was a voracious reader of literature. After raising four children, Joanna worked with her husband Joe at the company he founded, Best Electric, in Merced, which has been in business since 1973.

Joanna Carmella Salvadori Padilla passed away suddenly on November 18, 2016 at the age of 86, within three months of the passing of her husband, Joseph Padilla.

Joanna was born in Sonora, California to Mike and Carmella Salvadori on July 12, 1930. Joanna was known for her excellent memory and intuitive nature. She was a voracious reader of literature. After raising four children, Joanna worked with her husband Joe at the company he founded, Best Electric, in Merced, which has been in business since 1973.

Joanna married Joe in 1950 after meeting at a dance in 1949. Over eight years the couple welcomed four children into their Merced home. Joanna and Joe were avid travelers and enjoyed numerous trips around the globe. Joanna also enjoyed horseback riding with her husband on their ranch in Merced Falls.

Joanna is survived by her sister Gloria Brown and her brother Mike Salvadori; daughter Theresa Soares; son-in-law Steven Soares; son-in-law Daniel Macedo; daughter-in-law Nanette Barce Padilla; grandchildren Rebecca Macedo, Stephanie Macedo, David Soares, Thomas Soares, Charles Padilla, Christina Padilla and Jennifer Hawkins; and great-grandchildren Chawncee Padilla, Jayden Padilla, Michael Hawkins, Haley Hawkins and Gabriella Hawkins. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Padilla; children Linda Macedo, Martin Padilla and Michael Padilla; and her brother Silvio Salvadori.
