Obituary


David was born October 30, 1931 in Artesia, California and passed away on August 2, 2017 in Merced California.
At the age of 8 years old, the family moved to San Jose, California. David enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1950 and served in the Korean War. He worked for Tri Valley Growers in San Jose, California as a forklift operator. In 1985 He moved to Merced, California where he drove for Panella Trucking for 15 years. He enjoyed telling stories to his grandchildren. He was an avid 49er's and San Francisco Giants fan....

David was born October 30, 1931 in Artesia, California and passed away on August 2, 2017 in Merced California.
At the age of 8 years old, the family moved to San Jose, California. David enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1950 and served in the Korean War. He worked for Tri Valley Growers in San Jose, California as a forklift operator. In 1985 He moved to Merced, California where he drove for Panella Trucking for 15 years. He enjoyed telling stories to his grandchildren. He was an avid 49er's and San Francisco Giants fan. He enjoyed Mariachi music and he loved his menudo!
David was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Navarro Jr. and infant great grandson Angel (Rocky) Gutierrez.
David is survived by his loving wife Dolores Robles Navarro, his children Michael (Corrie), Christopher (Frances), Kimberly, Joseph, David Jr., Cheryl (Steve) Gutierrez, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitations will be held on Thursday August 10, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. A Vigil/Rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. at St. Patricks Parish located at 671 W. Yosemite Ave., Merced California. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St Patricks Parish.
