Charles Hilger Waite Jr. born May 16, 1948 passed away June 16, 2017. Chuck was born in Stockton Ca to Marie and Charles Sr. He was the middle son of three boys.
At the age of 19 Chuck Jr. was drafted into the US Army, where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a gunner in the 117th Air Borne Batallion where he was exposed to Agent Orange, little did he realize this exposure would impact the rest of his life.
After he left the military Chuck and his father Chuck Sr. started Merced Tire Co. which became a family business that was well respected in the community.
He was a wonderful father, brother husband and son. At 42 years old he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. But that did not stop him, he continued to work and take care of his family, never complaining of the disabilities that came with the disease.
Chuck enjoyed working in his yard, working on his antique car, and building model air planes. His children were everything to him.
His struggle with Parkinson's became harder and hard and after 27 years he lost his battle. Even until the end his fight astonished even the doctors. He takes a part of our hearts with him, rest in peace and enjoy everlasting life, where you can walk again.
Special thanks to his brother Mike Waite for assisting with the many needs of his illness bestowed on the family. He is proceeded in death by his father Charles Sr, his mother Marie Elizabeth, his brother Wayne and his nephew David Waite. He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years Renee and his daughter Christina Marie, his son Charles III along with his grandchildren. His brother Michael (Cheryl) Waite, his sister in law Pamela Waite and his niece June, nephews Bill and Doug.
